Believe in God is the most important thing in faith. If someone does not believe that God exists then he is in deep astray.
Does God exist? We have never seen God. We have never talked with God. That is why the Atheists believe God does not exist. It is just a fantasy or a made up thing!
The Story of a Scholar and an Atheist
There is one story of a Scholar and an Atheist. Long ago an Atheist did not believe the existence of God. He asked a scholar for a debate about the existence of God. Among the questions are: “Does God exist?” and “If God exists then where is God?”
Then they decided when and where the debate takes place.
The Atheist and the villagers were waiting for the scholar, but the scholar did not come right on time. When the Atheist and the villagers thought that the scholar will not come for the debate, then the scholar showed up.
“I am sorry to keep you waiting for so long. But the rain is so heavy so the river floods. The bridge drifted away so I could not cross it. Thank God suddenly there was a big tree fell down. Then the branches cut out by themselves so the trunk was branchless. After that the trunk was cut and a hole was created so it became a boat. So I used the boat and crossed the river,” said the scholar.
The Atheist and the villagers were laughing. The Atheist said to the villagers, “This scholar is mad. How can a tree became a boat by itself with no one made it? How can a boat exist with no maker who made it?”
The villagers were laughing out loud.
After the people calmed down, the scholar said, “If you believe that the boat could not exist without its maker, then how could you believe the earth, sky, and its contents exist without its creator? Which is the most difficult to make? Making a boat or creating the earth, sky, and its contents?
Hearing that, they realized that they trapped with their own statement.
“Then answer my second question,” said the Atheist. “If God exists, why can’t He be seen? Where is God?” The Atheist thought since he cannot see God then God does not exist.
The scholar slapped the Atheist’s cheek hardly so the Atheist felt so much pain.
“Why did you slap me? It’s very painful”
The scholar asked, “There is no pain. I cannot see pain. Where is pain?”
“The pain is here,” the Atheist pointed his cheek.
“No, I cannot see pain. Do you see the pain?” asked the scholar to the villagers.
The villagers said, “No!”
“So, though we cannot see the pain does not mean that the pain does not exist. So is the God. Just because we cannot see the God does not mean that God does not exist. Though we cannot see Him, but we can see His creations.” Said the scholar.
The argument of the scholar is very simple. Yet, the argument that God does not exist just because human’s sense could not sense the existence of God is very wrong.
How many things that could not be seen or heard by people but exist?
We cannot see the Wind but the Wind exists. We cannot see electricity (what you can see is wire) but electricity exist.
How many things in the sky that billions light years away, even trillions light years away that could not be seen by people yet the things exist?
How many molecular things even nucleus (hair divided in millions) that cannot be seen by people yet exist? People could only see those things by using a very powerful microscope.
How many waves (radio, electromagnetic, electricity, etc) that cannot be seen yet exist?
Those things exist, yet the human sense is very limited so it cannot sense their existence.
The human ability to see colors limited to certain frequencies. People only could hear limited frequencies. Sometimes the light not only very dazzling but also could make people blind. So is the sound. Certain sound could not be heard by human sense while other sound which is very loud could destroy human‘s hearing.
If to sense the creatures of God, sometimes people could not do it, even more to sense the Creator: God!
The Universe, Who is its Creator?
It is hard to proof that God exists. But if we take a look to the planes, cars, TVs, etc, it would be irrational if we say that all exist by themselves. There must be people who make them!
If the simple thing such as the match has its makers, then the universe that far more complex than that must be has its creator.
The Earth where 8 billion people live has circumference 40,000 km. The circumference of the Sun is 4.3 million km. The Sun and its 8 planets along with 100 billion stars are in the Milky Way galaxy whose length is 100,000 light years away.
Milky Way is only a galaxy among thousands galaxies that form a Cluster. This cluster with thousands clusters form 1 Super Cluster. And thousands of Super Clusters form the Universe whose length is 30 billion light years away! Remember, the number 30 billion light years away only current estimation since the strongest telescope today only could reach 15 billion light years away.
Imagine if the distance between Earth and the Sun is 150 million km and passed by the light in just 8 minute, then the whole Universe passed by the light in 30 billion years. That is equal to 285 billion trillion km away. If a man could run 40 km/hour without stopping, he would pass the distance in 810,000 trillion years!
That is the greatness of Allah’s creation! If we believe in the magnificence of Allah’s creation, then we should believe in the magnificence of Allah.
In the Quran Allah explains that He is the creator of Heaven, Star, Sun, Moon, and others:
“Blessed be He Who hath placed in the heaven mansions of the stars, and hath placed therein a great lamp and a moon giving light!” [Quran 25:61]
Is there a Controller of the Universe?
There are millions of people controlling the traffic on road, sea, and air. Beacons are built. People also build traffic light and radar. Air Traffic Control is built to prevent accident. All vehicles have drivers. Even on airplane there are pilot and co-pilot to make the flight safer. On the ships there are Captain, navigator, and engineers. Yet thousands of accidents happen every year on land, sea, and air. Even though there are many controllers, the accidents still happen.
On the contrary, the Earth, Sun, Moon, Stars, and others always revolve for billions of years without single crash. Most scientists believe that the Earth, Sun, and all of the other planets and moons in the solar system formed about 4.6 billion years ago. For billions of years until now the Earth never bump into the Sun, and the Sun never collides with the Moon. There is no mark, police, nor pilots to drive them. Without God, the Controller of the Universe, none of these would happen. Everything is in order because there is God who controls everything. Allah has put orbit for each of those things. If we really think about it then we will know that God exist.
“He it is who appointed the sun a splendor and the moon stages, that ye might know the number of the years, and the reckoning. Allah created not (all) that save in truth. He detaileth the revelations for people who have knowledge” [Quran 10:5]
“It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor doth the night outstrip the day. They float each in an orbit” [Quran:40]

People who think a lot about universe insha Allah will believe that there is a God!
“Allah it is who raised up the heavens without visible supports, then mounted the Throne, and compelled the sun and the moon to be of service, each runneth unto an appointed term; He ordereth the course; He detaileth the revelations, that haply ye may be certain of the meeting with your Lord.” [Quran 13:2]
“Such as remember Allah, standing, sitting, and reclining, and consider the creation of the heavens and the earth, (and say): Our Lord! Thou createdst not this in vain. Glory be to Thee! Preserve us from the doom of Fire” [Quran 3:191]
Who is the Creator of People and Plants?
To those arrogant people who deny the existence of God, Allah questions them about His creatures. Who is the creator of sperm and plant? People or God the All Wise Creator?
“Have ye seen that which ye emit?
Do ye create it or are We the creator?” [Quran 56:58-59]
“Have ye seen that which ye cultivate?
Is it ye who foster it, or are We the Fosterer?” [Quran 56:63-64]
“Was it ye who made the tree thereof to grow, or were We the grower?” [Quran 56:72]
Can Men Create a Fly?
In another verse, Allah challenges others to create a fly if they could do it. Men may be could make robots from things that created by Allah. Yet, none could make a fly from nothing nor thing that could reproduce except Allah:
“…Lo! Those on whom ye call beside Allah will never create a fly though they combine together for the purpose. And if the fly took something from them, they could not rescue it from him. So weak are (both) the seeker and the sought!” [Quran 22:73]
There are many other Quran verses that describe the existence of God and God is the All Wise Creator.

If everything has to have a creator then where is Allah’s creator? Also; Evolution, it is considered fact by every respected scientist in the world. And why are all the most intelligent men in the world who have done so much for mankind… Why are they all atheist? I’m an atheist because there is no proof that he exists. The burden of proof is upon theists to prove he exists, not the other way around.
The Qur’an was sent 1400 years ago(over a period of 23 years) to the Prophet muhammad (Peace be upon him) who couldn’t read or right.Science and math and other subjects are also talked about in the Qur’an it was pretty amazing for people of that time to hear that these things exist.When these disbelievers foung out the truth they called the prophet crazy and said tha he was a magisian.”If everything has to have a creator then where is Allah’s creator?” If you read the Qura’n or at least searched about it this Question is clearly answered in surat Iklaas.
This life is a test and having the answers and proof to everything doesn ‘t really make it a test any more.Those who believe in the unseen ae highly rewarded.There is really no point of living if there is no purpose.

My answer to your question might be a bit late, but if you may, I would like to provide you with an answer.
It is true that you may or may not read this since it has been 5 years now from the time you’ve posted your concerns, nonetheless, I still wish to provide an answer just in case you or any other new visitor to the post stumble upon this discussion and share the same inquiries.
But first, I would like to make one point clear before I go ahead with answering!
My point is roughly summarized in the fact that there are 3 main phases of approaching the what’s so called “truth”, which are:
1- Ability of seeing truth & proofing or identifying it to be true (i.e. being able to differentiate what’s true from what’s false).
The first phase depends on a number of factors that can be classified under two main categories :
→ Factors related to our dear questioner.
→ Factors related to the one providing answers.
Briefly, I will discuss a number of those factors that may fortunately make clear or sadly distort one’s ability of viewing truth.
They are in respect to the above listed categories:
– Being honest to oneself in sincerely desiring & seeking out truth.
( Simply because if this factor is missing, I & every creature in this world will not be able to proof to the questioner the truth! Not even if it was sitting infront of his eyes, he or she will not see it! )
and just to make it clearer, it is like a person who physically closes his eyes with his hands & argues that the sun doesn’t exist just because he can’t see it! ( as I’ve stated earlier, I can’t proof to someone who chooses to be blind even if temporarily that sun exist in that way! Not even if I placed another 1000 sun infront of him, he will not see it).
So for this type of person, it’s either I go with different methods in proofing that sun exist without the need to see it such as; feeling the warmth of the sun…etc, or I simply leave this endless argument until this person comes into reason by himself or unfortunately I must say there is no hope for such a person unless they quite this arrogant behavior!
(P.S. Personally, I believe that not even changing the methods of arguing would work with such a person).
– Level of education or informatics wealth. ( By this factor, I’m not talking about school grades or college or any of the educational facilities, rather I’m talking about the mindset of a person).
In other words, the questioner must be able to reason & argue in an appropriate manner in regards to the evidences provided.
I will not discuss this factor because I’m trying to make my argument as short as possible, so hopefully this one is understood.
( P.S. If you need extra clarification on this point or any other point in this argument, please feel free to do so and do not hesitate a minute in asking).
We haven’t finished discussing all factors of this category. However, I will swiftly move on to the second category which is (Factors related to the person providing answers), and here I would like to mention the most important point which is:
– Being able to clearly explain the argument + supporting his argument with acceptable proofs.
I mentioned this only factor for one great reason which is sometimes the problem isn’t in the argument itself, rather it is in the person arguing. For example: as a medical student, I once had this lecturer who graduated the first on his class, yet surprisingly he wasn’t able to present to us (his students) any understandable lesson!
I could almost swear that his lectures were so uncorrelated & he didn’t have any appropriate method of teaching plus a sleepy tone of voice that I honestly have slept during most if not all his classes!
So in other words, the problem wasn’t in his lessons where I say they don’t make any sense, rather it is in his way of teaching that he himself couldn’t convey the presented concepts!
( No offense to my professor because truly he is a brilliant person & a very smart one at understanding things and making sense of them to himself but not to us I don’t think so).
2- Accepting the truth to be true. ( This phase is very close in meaning to the first phase, but I’ve separated them into two for a reason that I believe is not very important to be mentioned for now).
Anyhow, this phase has a lot to do with quitting the stubborn & arrogant attitude!
As you may have noticed, I’m emphasizing on stubborness & arrogance a lot in my argument. Not that I’m pointing that you are an arrogant person, but I’m afraid on you from falling to its temptation because a lot of people don’t listen to the truth. Not because they are correct when they dismiss examining it, rather they are doing this because it isn’t the type of truth they want to hear!
For this I would like to quote the great astrophysicist (Neil deGrasse Tyson) when he said:
“If you want to assert a truth, first make sure it’s not just an opinion that you desperately want to be true.”
This quote applies to both of us by the way.
May the one with the greater argument wins 🙂
3- Following the truth.
[ All in all, I would like to say that I might be able to offer a great assistance to you going through the first phase!
But, the other two phases honestly they highly depend on you! ]
I do have the power to compel someone on going through all three phases, but I & every Muslim are prohibited from doing so because God or What I like to call him Allah ” the name He gave to His glorified Being” willed for us to have a free will.
[ There is no compulsion in religion. Verily, the Right Path has become distinct from the wrong path. ] Qur’an 2:256

Now to answering your big question:

To be honest with you,I don’t know how to answer this particular question!
Wait a minute my friend ..! Don’t get all excited just yet!

It just seems so clear & simple that I don’t understand how you or anyone else would face a trouble with it?
Anyhow, if I were on the other side of the equation, I would like to be provided with a logical answer that respects the human being’s type of intelligence.
So again, I’m confused with how to start answering or even what type of answers should I provide? (it’s that simple that I’m honestly confused).
Anyway, let me start with this:
I’m not sure if you’ve heard this before, but many people argue with this question & get the answer of “God is the one who created everything. He is a creator not a creation”
So if you heard this before, then believe it or not, you got your answer!
( Please allow me to explain)
The problem I believe that most people have, is the wrong concept of God (Allah). They see that everything has a cause of coming into being therefore God must have this attribute as well.
Now, if you are asking yourself ” how did we reach to the conclusion that God (Allah) doesn’t have to follow this rule?”
If you didn’t get the answer by yourself by now, I must say I’m disappointed!
Anyhow, I will explain how this is true just in case your line of reasoning failed you on this one!
It is true because God ( Allah) is the creator of all things. Everything you see or you don’t see were created by Allah. All known & unknown were created by him. That includes you and basically everything you’ve seen or haven’t seen in this worlds was created by him. However, for the sake of this argument I must emphasize that the most important point you should focus on in Allah’s creation is that he created this world and set for it the way it was suppose to function by. In other words, he created all this world you see and all physical, chemical, biological and mathematical laws (rules) which this world is following. So, he is beyond those rules and all laws of this world. The rule that is applied on this world where everything must have a creator was made by him. Therefore, it simply doesn’t apply to him!
Another important point is, you may get confused when you with your limited experience with this world, think that God might also be trapped by the limitations of time & space.
Of course, according to the line of logic which I’ve explained earlier, this also doesn’t apply to him since he created those, too. ( This one I can explain by what one of the greatest physicist Albert Einstein once said, but unfortunately it is too long that I’m inclined to dismiss it in this argument).
BONUS: You may also get confused with the rule of ( every beginning has an end) and you think that it is very difficult to imagine anything or anyone which/ who is endless!
I’m with you on this that it is difficult, but I must disagree on the possibility (i.e it is difficult, but not impossible). Plus: difficulty lies in our human abilities in imagining such a concept , not in the possibility of this fact by itself!
For this I would like to tell you that Allah has many names which he revealed to us (Muslims) 99 of them. I’m telling you this to inform you that among those 99 names, Allah called himself ( The First, where there is nothing before him) and ( The Last, where there shall be nothing after him).
In other words, Allah is telling you Stuart that His glorified Being is infinite.
Chapter 112 in Qur’an, Allah the almighty answers the ones who asked prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) who is your Lord who you call Allah? [ (1) Say: He is Allah, the One and Only; (2) Allah, the Eternal, Absolute ( everything depends on Him and He depends on none); (3) He neither gives birth to, nor is He born; (4) Nor is there to Him any equivalent ].
There are more chapters and verses that are discussing this topic which I believe you would probably be amazed by.

Allah cannot be created as he is the creator if he was created then he’s the creation and not the creator and he’s eternal he existed infinitely in the past and he had no beggining nor will he have an end everything that has a beggining has a cause but Allah doesn’t have a beggining This question which the non Muslims and you have asked is inherently false and self contradictory If we were to say for the sake of argument that someone created Allah then they(the non Muslims)would ask you Who created the creator of the Creator? Then who created the creator of the creator of the creator?! And so on, ad infinitum. This is irrational and impossible.
All of creation goes back to the Creator Who created all things. No one created Him; He created everything other than Himself. This is what makes sense and is logical. This Creator is Allaah, may He be glorified and exalted

Every creation (including human) must have its creator. But the Prime Creator, God, has no creator. Otherwise He is not a God the Creator. Just a creature.

Our natural surroundings tell us that everything has end, therefore they also have a start. Thus everything was created by a single Creator. But now what I do not understand is that The Creator being a Supernatural Being and eternal does not have a start nor an end because Creator cannot be created and time is irrelevant to the creator because it was also created but the question remains one that I have answered to an extent myself yet something remains unanswered is that How did the creator came into being eternal and all but how? we can not know everything that means we can not know how allah is created because we cannot understand things like that as the human race is a very dumb race. We know very little knowledge and cannot take much more.
Well, if we believe that “Everything is dual; everything has poles; everything has its pair of opposites, then all will be logical.
In China there are Yin and Yang. There are night and day. Bright and Dark, Big and Small, Strong and Weak, and The Creator and Creatures.
There are many creatures that created by One Creator. There is One Creator that is not created by anything.
There are many creatures that have beginning and end, there is one Creator that has no beginning nor end.
Our brains have many limitation. We cannot think about God. Even we cannot think about God’s creatures such as animals, earth, solar system, and the universe. We could only observe. We cannot comprehend them nor create them.
Even we cannot think about us nor a fly. We could not create a single fly even all human unite together. So how come we could comprehend God/Allah who create the Universe?
Our prophet said, when we think that everything is created by God, then we ask “who is the Creator of God”, we shoud say to ourselves “Aamantu billah”. I believe in Allah.
We just could explain to people who want the truth. The guidance. But for atheists who do not want to believe, we could not do anything else except explain it 2-3 times.
After all there are Heaven and Hell. Both will get its inhabitants.

Nice article. Another proof of God’s existance is the Quran. God says in the Quran “Verily We have revealed the reminder and We are its Guardians.” This Verse holds true to this day. Fourteen hundred years have passed and not a single word or letter in the Quran has changed.

Very beautiful article mashaAllah i found all the points presented to be logical and rational subhanaAllah i honestly think that just like what Allah has said in the Quraan, the kuffar or atheists are just liars. i mean they are lying to and deluding themselves that the universe was created either by itself or through science. but if you think about it, how can the universe be created through their scientific principles and theories? These are just ideas formulated by man’s brains through the grace of Allah swt, some of them are correct and some are false. Nevertheless, they are just ideas that EXPLAIN the creation of thing but they in no way, absolutely no way, have or can even create those things. It’s like knowing the method of making a car. The method is just that, a way to make it but you can’t say that the method is what made the car. Nor can you say that the method is what influenced the parts of the car to come together and make a car. Nor can you even say that the parts of the car just came together and made a car by itself because they are just parts, they don’t have a brain, purpose or feelings. Nothing. They are lifeless. So I can’t imagine that atoms just got together and formed an earth, or formed the solar system or the universe. The same atoms that now we have learned how to manipulate (through atomic technology) are the same ones that created this very intelligent design that runs the universe? Sounds irrational to me.
My father said that everything in this universe has been created from the elements on the periodic table. Can you imagine that? There are 100 plus elements and yet these same elements are what make up the universe. Now, can you honestly tell me that these 100 plus elements got together by themselves and created this universe? These same brainless elements that are powerless and that we are free to manipulate? Or would you think that something more powerful than us caused these elements to form the universe?

I’ve already debate with atheist that he wants to know does if God is exist, then where God is? Then he still stubborn didn’t believe about the existance God. Yet, i’ve tell him twice then he believe it finally. Thanks for the story about the scholar and the atheist. Its very meaningful
Interesting….but not very convincing to me. I can certainly come up with loads of counter arguements. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a muslim myself and DO believe in Allah and Al7amdulillah for that fact. I am just searching for a perfect undeniable proof, and still couldn’t come up with any. May be there isn’t any. That’s why Allah commanded ‘believe’. We don’t need to believe if we already know.

Oh! Forgot to mention one thing that I personally hate the idea that everything has a creator. Like if the boat can’t make itself then the universe can’t either, is very lame. Because in that case, if Allah created the universe, then who created Allah? Allah is uncreated. I, instead prefer to argue based on the signs and portents. And that according to the laws of Physics, if Allah is out from the bounds of dimensions (space, time, etc) then there is no way we can formulate Him. We can’t see Him or comprehend him. Human can’t exist by itself. Human creator is Allah.

I am a non religious person and have read the discussion with interest.You clearly believe in cause and effect and so (should) have no problem with the notion that life has evolved over time becoming more and more complex until we reach mankind. We know that the Universe, space and time burst into existence from nothing. This is still a great mystery to science. A Creator is as good a theory as any but is still only a theory without proof. Please don’t think I am disrespecting your faith but I am interested in actual proof if it exists or is a leap of faith nessessary?
Science is limited to human brain.
Not everything that human cannot observe is not exist. E.g. the farthest thing that could be reach by the strongest telescope is 15 billion light years away.
It doesn’t mean that things that are 1 trillion light years away don’t exist because we cannot see them.
5 centuries ago most of people still believe the Sun revolve around the earth, man cannot fly, even the car doesn’t exist.
Yet, people science is still limited. Human that is the smartest living thing in the world we know still cannot create a single fly.
And I don’t believe that the Earth, the Sun, and the Whole Universe exist by themselves without the Supreme Being God who created them.
This is very nice debate, this answer is for the people who don’t understand when you say that allah is uncreated. then here is the answer: imagine if allah was created then who is creater of allah” and who is the other creater that made the creater of allah and so on you will never finish, it will come infinity creaters and it doesnt make any sense? thats why we say that allah is not created. this oviously makes more sense than infinity creaters. Also time, space and universe relate to each other, for example: speed=distance divide by time. space, time and universe are all created. and time only exists inside the universe. therefore inside the universe there is time and everything has beginning. but outside the universe there is no time. where there is no time there is no begninning nor end. i hope this helped with the answer. god doesnt have creater because he is outside the universe which means that there is no time.
This is for the people who don’t understand when you say that god is uncreated: “If got is created, then he is not god because god is uncreated, okay now imagine god is created then who is the creator of god? and who made the creator of god? and so on, if its like that then there would be infinity creators and it doesn’t make sense.
But when you say that god is uncreated and he is one, this makes more sense than infinity creators. because infinity doesn’t exist in reality. also space and time are connected and were created along time ago, and god created it, so god created time and space, “not time created god”. “Do you agree that if there is no time then there is no start of something and no end?” if the answer is yes then you answered your own question “who created god”.
We are here on this earth and so are so many different types of living things…we are here, so something/ someone MUST have created us, right? In my opinion, Allah does exist..and I’m not a religious fanatic or anything but in the Quran, all things which are stated are proven to be true and the Quran is basically the words of Allah, Himself so if all the stated things are true, then obviously, the most important thing, which is “Having faith in Allah as our creator” is obviously true…

Three Tough Questions?
There was a young man who went overseas to study for quite a long time.
When he returned, he asked his parents to find him a religious scholar
or any expert who could answer his 3 Questions. Finally, his parents
were able to find a Muslim scholar.
Young man: Who are you? Can you answer my questions?
Scholar: I am one of Allah (Subhan Wa Ta`ala )’s slaves and Insha-Allah
(God willing), I will be able to answer your questions.
Young man: Are you sure? A lot of Professors and experts were not able
to answer my questions.
Scholar: I will try my best, with the help of Allah(Subhan Wa Ta`ala).
Young Man: I have 3 questions:
1. Does God exist? If so, show me His shape.
2. What is thaqdir (fate)?
3. If shaitan (Devil) was created from the fire, why at the end he will
be thrown to hell that is also created from fire. It certainly will not
hurt him at all, since Shaitan (Devil) and the hell were created from
fire. Did God not think of it this far?
Suddenly, the Scholar slapped the young man’s face very hard.
Young Man (feeling pain): Why do you get angry at me?
Scholar: I am not angry. The slap is my answer to your three questions.
Young Man: I really don’t understand.
Scholar: How do you feel after I slapped you?
Young Man: Of course, I felt the pain.
Scholar: So do you believe that pain exists?
Young Man: Yes.
Scholar: Show me the shape of the pain!
Young Man: I cannot.
Scholar: That is my first answer. All of us feel God’s existence
without being able to see His shape… Last night, did you dream that
you will be slapped by me?
Young Man: No.
Scholar: Did you ever think that you will get a slap from me, today?
Young Man: No.
Scholar: That is takdir (fate) my second answer…….. My hand that I
used to slap you, what is it created from?
Young Man: It is created from flesh.
Scholar: How about your face, what is it created from?
Young Man: Flesh.
Scholar: How do you feel after I slapped you?
Young Man: In pain.
Scholar: That?s it. this is my third answer, Even though Shaitan Devil)
and also the hell were created from the fire, if Allah wants,
insha-Allah (God willing), the hell will become a very painful place for
Shaitan
