I am an American Jew who happened to stumble upon your website. Can someone explain to me how the teachings of Islam contrast the Teachings of Christianity? One of my friends explained to me Christianity, I just do not understand Islam. The only things i hear or read about Islam are negative which is why i am so curious as to what draws people into it.
If you want to know Islam and the differences with the Christianity, just read this:
http://islammyreligion.wordpress.com/2008/04/02/comparison-study-of-judaism-christianity-and-islam-religion
Some of the differences:
1. Islam worship only 1 God: There is no God but Allah
While Christianity though claim worship only 1 God, yet the God consist of 3 persons: The Father (in Arab and Indonesia they call him Allah), The Son (Jesus), and a Holy Ghost.
2. Islam regards Jesus as a prophet. As a Human. Not a God.
While the Christianity regards Jesus as the son of God. The God.
Those are the big differences.
