Narrated Ibn ‘Umar: (The Prophet) said, “O Allah! Bless our Sham and our yemen.” People said, “Our Najd as well.” The Prophet again said, “O Allah! Bless our Sham and yemen.” They said again, “Our Najd as well.” On that the Prophet said, “There will appear earthquakes and afflictions, and from there will come out the side of the horn of Satan.” (Book #17, Hadith #147, Bukhari)

That is the place of Khawarij:

the Messenger of Allah, Salla Allahu Alayhi Wasallam, said regarding a man who once accused him of injustice, “From among the offspring of this man there will rise a people who will read the Quran but it will not go beyond their throats (meaning it will not enter their hearts). They will kill Muslims and spare Idol-worshippers. They will deviate from Islam (as fast and clean) as an arrow pierces the game. If I live to witness their appearance, I will kill them as the people of ‘Aad (whom Allah utterly destroyed and annihilated because of their disbelief) were killed.” [Al-Bukhari & Muslim].

Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab, founder of Muwahhidun / Salafi / Ahlus Sunnah (Without Jama’ah) causing a lot of Fitnah. Murders. With Ibnu Saud and the help of English arms he fought Muslims in Iraq, Thaif, Mecca, and Madinah and killed many Muslims. He also fight Turkey and Egypt which he call the enemy of Islam. By his enemy, Muslims that he think as infidel, Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab called the Wahhabists.

From the Hadith above mentioned the people of NAJD. Not the people of IRAQ! Because at that time Islam propagation didn’t reach Iraq yet. Beside our prophet mention sever times about the HORN OF SATAN (قرن / qorn) that suits with the Hajj Miqat of the Najd people.

It is reported in SAHIH BUKHARI from Hazrat Abu Said Khudri (Radiallhu Anhu) who narrates that: Once we were in the presence and company of the Holy Prophet (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallam). He was distributing booties (Spoils of War) when a person named Zul-Khawaisara, who was from thetribe of Bani Tamim addressed the Holy Prophet (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallam) “Oh Muhammad Be Just!” “. The Prophet (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallam) replied: “A Great pity that you have doubts, if I am unjust then who will be just, you are a loser and a failure.” Zul-Khawaisara’s attitude infuriated Hazrat Umar (Radiallhu Anhu) and he pleaded with the Prophet (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallam) to permit him to slay Zul-Khawaisara. The Prophet (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallam) remarked: “Leave him, as his slaying will serve no good purpose, as he is not the only individual but there are a host of others like him and if you compare their prayers and fasting to that of yours, you yourself will feel ashamed. These are the people who will recite the Quran but it will not go beyond their throats, with all these apparent virtues they will leave the fold of Deen just like the arrow leaves the bow.

Al-Bukhaaree includes this hadeeth in the chapter: “The affliction will appear from the East”

212) From the father of Saalim: The Prophet, sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam, stood up besides the pulpit (and pointed towards the east) and said: “Afflictions are there! Afflictions are there! From where appears the horn of Satan” or he said, “the horn of the Sun”

213) From ibn Umar that he said: I heard the Messenger of Allaah, sallallaahu alyahi wa sallam, saying while facing the east: “Indeed Afflictions are there, from where appears the Horn of Satan.”

Muhammad PBUH did the Dawn Prayer and gave salute and facing toward the SUN RISE and said: “Fitnah will come from here. Fitnah will come from here from the horn of Satan” [Musnad Ahmad 2/72 no 5410 shahih]

Muhammad PBUH said that in Madinah. Najd which have the same latitue of Madinah (24° North). While Iraq’s latitude is 32° North. 8° North of Madinah. The Sun’s maximum latitude is 23.5° North. After that, going to south again. The Sun will never go to 32° North as in Iraq.

From Madinah, the Sun Rise from Najd direction. Not from Iraq!

Najd also means the HIGH Place. Najd now such as Riyadh is 1,200 meter beyond the Sea Level. While Iraq is in low place. Only 50 meter above the sea level. In Topographic Map, Najd’s color is yellow (high) while Iraq, especially Kuffah is dark green (low).

حدثنا محمد بن عبد الله بن عمار الموصلي قال حدثنا أبو هاشم محمد بن علي عن المعافى عن أفلح بن حميد عن القاسم عن عائشة قالت وقَّت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لأهل المدينة ذا الحُليفة ولأهل الشام ومصر الجحفة ولأهل العراق ذات عرق ولأهل نجد قرناً ولأهل اليمن يلملم

From Aishah, Prophet PBUH said: The Hajj Miqat (the place) for Madinah is in Dzul Hulaifah, Sham and Egypt in Juhfah, Iraq in Zati Irq, and Najd in Qorn, and Yaman in Yalamlam.” (Shahih Sunan Nasa’i no 2656)

Muhammad mentioned about the HORN of Satan sever times in Hadeeth about Najd. And the Hajj Miqat (place) for the people of Najd is in Qorn. That means HORN in Arabic. In the Hadith above, Najd and Iraq are 2 different place with 2 different Miqat. So interpreting Najd is Iraq is not true at all.

The Ahli Fitna from Najd, Shaikh Muhammad Al Arifi, in Riyadh (Najd), provoking its followers to kill Muslims in Sham, Yemen, and others:

Not also Shia such as Assad that he killed. But also Sunni Scholar such as Shaikh Al Buthi, the son of Shaikh Ahmad Hassoun (Grand Mufti of Syria), Imam Masjid of Aleppo, etc. His followers think they are doing Jihad. While in fact killing Muslims, even an 84 year old Ulama such as Al Buthi and his grandson along with 52 Muslims in a masjid with bombs.

I Hope all Muslim knows that killing Muslims is not the way of Islam.

“O ye who believe! When ye go forth (to fight) in the way of Allah, be careful to discriminate, and say not unto one who offereth you peace: “Thou art not a believer,” seeking the chance profits of this life (so that ye may despoil him). With Allah are plenteous spoils. Even thus (as he now is) were ye before; but Allah hath since then been sgracious unto you. Therefore take care to discriminate. Allah is ever Informed of what ye do.” [An Nisaa ' 94]

Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. And those with him are hard against the disbelievers and merciful among themselves. Thou (O Muhammad) seest them bowing and falling prostrate (in worship), seeking bounty from Allah and (His) acceptance. The mark of them is on their foreheads from the traces of prostration. Such is their likeness in the Torah and their likeness in the Gospel – like as sown corn that sendeth forth its shoot and strengtheneth it and riseth firm upon its stalk, delighting the sowers – that He may enrage the disbelievers with (the sight of) them. Allah hath promised, unto such of them as believe and do good works, forgiveness and immense reward.” [Al Fath 29]

Syria: An opposition divided?
We look at the internal divisions in the Syrian National Coalition as they wrestle for legitimacy.

It has been a week of major developments in the Syrian conflict – on the ground and on the diplomatic front. The opposition coalition seemed on the verge of collapse after its president Ahmed Moaz al-Khatib offered his resignation only days before representing the coalition in the most recent Arab League summit.

Several opposition members have been calling for:

the restructuring of the Syrian National Coalition
completely abandoning the provisional government
establishing clear relationships with opposition parties and the Free Syrian army (FSA),
working on transforming the FSA into a national army with a high degree of discipline and combat readiness.
On Tuesday, Syria’s main opposition group took a symbolic step forward when al-Khatib formally took Syria’s seat at Arab League summit in Doha, Qatar.

It was at the summit that the member states agreed that they can send weapons to fighters in Syria – if they choose to.

Meanwhile, Moaz al-Khatib has asked the US to protect rebel-held north using patriot missiles.

“We thank all the governments who supported us, but the role to be played by the United States is much bigger. I requested Mr Kerry to provide Patriot missiles to protect northern provinces,” said al-Khatib. “We have requested NATO to spare the lives of innocent civilians. We do not wish to fight. We wish to protect civilians to restore the normal way of life.”

There is only one God. Yet, many people worship different God. Some worship the Sun as their God. Others worship the Father, Jesus, the Son, Holy Ghost, Krishna, Yahwe, Eli, Elohim, etc. There is also some people that worship Allah alone.

So, who is the true God according to Islam? What is His attributes? We know little about God. Yet, in the Quran, God explains His characteristics as follow:

God, the All Wise Creator
According to Islam, God is the Creator of All:

“The Originator of the heavens and the earth! When He decreeth a thing, He saith unto it only: Be! and it is.” [Quran 2:117]

Lo! the likeness of Jesus with Allah is as the likeness of Adam. He created him of dust, then He said unto him: Be! and he is.” [Quran 3:59]

“Say : Is there of your partners (whom ye ascribe unto Allah) one that produceth Creation and then reproduceth it? Say: Allah produceth creation, then reproduceth it. How then, are ye misled!” [Quran 10:34]

Here is His Sayings as recorded in the Al Quran:

“Unquestionably, for Allah is the pure religion (Islam). And those who take protectors besides Him [say], “We only worship them that they may bring us nearer to Allah in position.” Indeed, Allah will judge between them concerning that over which they differ. Indeed, Allah does not guide he who is a liar and [confirmed] disbeliever.” [Az Zumar 3]

Islam is the pure religion. It is a monotheism Religion that worship only ONE Almighty God: Allah.

Islam differs from the Christianity that worship 3 persons as a God: The Father, The Son (Jesus) and a Holy Ghost.

Allah only love Islam as his worshipper’s religion because it only worship one God only: Allah and no other but Him:

“The Religion before Allah is Islam (submission to His will): nor did the people of the Book dissent therefrom except through envy of each other, after knowledge had come to them. But if any deny the Signs of Allah, Allah is swift in calling to account.” [Ali 'Imran 19]

Allah only accept Islam as the only religion:

“If anyone desires a religion other than Islam (submission to Allah) never will it be accepted of him; and in the Hereafter he will be in the ranks of those who have lost. (all spiritual good).” [Ali 'Imran 85]

Allah has perfected our religion: Islam:

“…This day have those who reject Faith given up all hope of your religion: yet fear them not but fear Me. This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed my favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion…” [Al Maa-idah 3]

“Allah! There is no god but He – the Living, The Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him Nor Sleep. His are all things In the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede In His presence except As he permitteth? He knoweth What (appeareth to His creatures As) Before or After or Behind them. Nor shall they compass Aught of his knowledge Except as He willeth. His throne doth extend Over the heavens And on earth, and He feeleth No fatigue in guarding And preserving them, For He is the Most High. The Supreme (in glory).”
[Surah al-Baqarah 2: 255]

The Throne Verse (Arabic: آية الكرسي ‎ ʾāyatu-l-kursī), or Ayatul Kursi, is 255th verse (ayah) of the second chapter (sura) Al-Baqara. It is the most famous verse of the Qur’anand is widely memorized and displayed in the Islamic world due to its emphatic description of God’s power over the entire universe.

Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Raheem = In the Name of Allâh, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Allahu la ilaha illa Huwal Haiyul-Qaiyum = Allah! There is no god but He – the Living, The Self-subsisting, The Eternal.

La ta’khudhuhu sinatun wa la nawm = No slumber can seize Him Nor Sleep.

lahu ma fis-samawati wa ma fil-’ard = His are all things In the heavens and on earth.

Man dhal-ladhi yashfa’u ‘indahu illa bi-idhnih = Who is there can intercede In His presence except As he permitteth?

Ya’lamu ma baina aidihim wa ma khalfahum = He knoweth What lies Before them (His Creation) and After them

wa la yuhituna bi shai’im-min ‘ilmihi illa bima sha’a = Nor shall they compass Aught of his knowledge Except as He willeth

Wasi’a kursiyuhus-samawati wal ard = His throne doth extend Over the heavens And the Earth

wa la ya’uduhu hifdhuhuma Wa Huwal ‘Aliyul-Adheem = and He feeleth No fatigue in guarding And preserving them, For He is the Most High. The Supreme (in glory).

(This Verse 2:255 is called Ayat al-Kursi)

While not all verses in the Quran carry a specific name, this one was given the name ‘Ayat Al-Kursi’ (Kursi: literally a footstool or chair, and sometimes translated as the Throne.) The Kursi mentioned in this Verse should be distinguished from the ‘Arsh (Throne) mentioned in V 7:52, 10:3, 85:15 and elsewhere. Muhammad said: “The Kursi compared to the ‘Arsh is nothing but like a ring thrown out upon open space of the desert.” If the Kursi extends over the entire universe, then how much greater is the ‘Arsh. It is narrated from Muhammad bin ‘Abdullah and from other religious scholars that the Kursi is in front of the ‘Arsh (Throne) and it is the at the level of the Feet.” Islamic religious belief holds that anyone who recites the verse enters the protection and security of God. Commonly, it is recited by Muslims before they go to sleep.

A Call to the People of the Book from Allah:

God the Owner of Heaven, Earth, and Their Contents

God owns everything in Earth, Heaven, and in between:

They indeed have disbelieved who say: Lo! Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary. Say : Who then can do aught against Allah, if He had willed to destroy the Messiah son of Mary, and his mother and everyone on earth? Allah’s is the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. He createth what He will. And Allah is Able to do all things” [Quran 5:17]

God is The Ever Living

“And rely upon the Ever-Living who does not die, and exalt [ Allah ] with His praise. And sufficient is He to be, with the sins of His servants, Acquainted” [Quran 25:58]

“Allah! There is no God save Him, the Alive, the Eternal. Neither slumber nor sleep overtaketh Him. Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth. Who is he that intercedeth with Him save by His leave? He knoweth that which is in front of them and that which is behind them, while they encompass nothing of His knowledge save what He will. His throne includeth the heavens and the earth, and He is never weary of preserving them. He is the Sublime, the Tremendous.” [Al Baqarah 2:255] 

So Jesus that died on the cross is not a God. Only a human.

God is the First and the Last

God already exists before anything exist. God also will keep exist when everything is dead or destroyed.

”He is the First and the Last, and the Outward and the Inward; and He is Knower of all things.” [Quran 57:3]

Therefore it would be inappropriate if God was born when other creatures already exist and died when “His” creatures still exist. If there is a “God” like that, then he is not a God at all. But only a creature of the true God!

Jesus that was born in 0 AD is not a God based on Islamic religion.

God Needs NOTHING!

The real God needs nothing.

He doesn’t need a mother to feed him or a father to guide him. That is human.

In fact, all the world need Him.

“..Allah is free of all needs from all creation.” [Quran Al 'Ankabuut 29:6]

“Say: “Praise be to Allah, who begets no son, and has no partner in (His) dominion: Nor (needs) He any to protect Him from humiliation: yea, magnify Him for His greatness and glory!” [Al Israa' 17:111]

There is only one God: Allah

“They surely disbelieve who say: Lo! Allah is the third of three; when there is no God save the One God. If they desist not from so saying a painful doom will fall on those of them who disbelieve.” [Quran 5:73]

In the Ten Commandments God said:

“Thou shalt have no other gods before me.” [Exodus 20:3]

So the 3 Gods: The Father, The Son, and a Ghost are not a God!

Allah has no Partner

“Say (O Muhammad): Who is Lord of the heaven and the earth?

Say: Allah! Say: Take ye then (others) beside Him for protectors, which, even for themselves, have neither benefit nor hurt?

Say: Is the blind man equal to the seer, or is darkness equal to light? Or assign they unto Allah partners Who created the like of His creation so that the creation (which they made and His creation) seemed alike to them? Say: Allah is the Creator of all things, and He is the One, the Almighty.” [Quran 13:16]

“And say: Praise be to Allah, Who hath not taken unto Himself a son, and Who hath no partner in the Sovereignty, nor hath He any protecting friend through dependence. And magnify Him with all magnificence.” [Quran 17:111]

Allah has no Child nor Partner

“Allah hath not chosen any son, nor is there any God along with Him; else would each God have assuredly championed that which he created, and some of them would assuredly have overcome others. Glorified be Allah above all that they allege.” [Quran 23:91]

“And nothing compares to Him.” [Quran 112:4]

Allah Knows All

Allah knows all even the invisible, a falling leaf, or a grain in the darkness.

And with Him are the keys of the invisible. None but He knoweth them. And He knoweth what is in the land and the sea. Not a leaf falleth but He knoweth it, not a grain amid the darkness of the earth, naught of wet or dry but (it is noted) in a clear record.” [Quran 6:59]

Jesus is not a God since he doesn’t know the Fig tree has no fruit because it’s not its season yet:

Matthew 21:18-19:

18 Early in the morning, as he was on his way back to the city, he was hungry. 19 Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then he said to it, ”May you never bear fruit again!” Immediately the tree withered.

Allah Sees Anything, Anywhere, Anytime

Allah could see anything. Allah could see the smallest atom, the farthest thing, and the darkest thing. Allah could see a black ant that walk on the black stone in the dark of the night.

“Lo! Allah knoweth the Unseen of the heavens and the earth. And Allah is Seer of what ye do. ” [Al Hujuraat 49:18]

So, Jesus that could not see if the Fig tree has no fruit from the distance is not a God according to Islamic teaching.

God Speaks!

God speaks. If he is mute, cannot speak, then he is not a God. The Idol Statues are mute. So they are not a God!

“…Allah spake directly unto Moses” [An Nisaa' 4:164]

All the idol statues above are not a God because they cannot speak. They cannot even lift a finger if a fly landed on their skin.

Allah the Most Powerful

Allah is the Almighty. Sometimes we are amaze of the greatness of some people. Yet their power is not everlasting. The great people such as Genghis Khan, Hitler, and Roosevelt were dead in the hand of Allah, the Creator, the Most Powerful, and the executioner.

If He will, He can remove you, O people, and produce others in your stead. Allah is Able to do that.” [Quran 4:133]

“Yet they choose beside Him other gods who create naught but are themselves created, and possess not hurt nor profit for themselves, and possess not the dead nor life, nor power to raise the dead.” [Quran 25:3]

In a hadeeth told that when all creatures such as human, genie, and angels are put to death, Allah says “I am King of the Kings. Where are arrogant people who used to claim themselves a God? Where are arrogant people who used to claim themselves a King?” At that time, only Allah lives and the Most Powerful.

Allah the Great Controller

Sometimes we see the bridges that were designed by experts and built by hundreds of workers with strong pillars fall down instantly. Or the air traffic that controlled by radar, air controller, pilot, and co-pilot, yet the accidents happen every year.

But we never see the sky which is pillar-less fall down into the Earth. The Sun never bump into the Moon or the Earth though they revolve for billions of years.

That is the proof that the order happens because there is a Great Controller: Allah!

“Allah it is who raised up the heavens without visible supports, then mounted the Throne, and compelled the sun and the moon to be of service, each runneth unto an appointed term; He ordereth the course; He detaileth the revelations, that haply ye may be certain of the meeting with your Lord.” [Quran 13:2]

Allah the Giver Gives All to Mankind

Who gives you your body, life, parent, friends, air to breath, water to drink, the Earth, etc?

People who sick will know how expensive is the heart, kidney, eyes, etc. Millions of dollar could be spend to buy those things and the operation.

We have to buy drinking water. If we want to do the diving, we have to buy air to breath expensively. Yet, Allah gives those things and many others to us for free!

“Who hath appointed the earth a resting-place for you, and the sky a canopy; and causeth water to pour down from the sky, thereby producing fruits as food for you. And do not set up rivals to Allah when ye know (better).” [Quran 2:22]

“Lo! in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the difference of night and day, and the ships which run upon the sea with that which is of use to men, and the water which Allah sendeth down from the sky, thereby reviving the earth after its death, and dispersing all kinds of beasts

therein, and (in) the ordinance of the winds, and the clouds obedient between heaven and earth: are signs (of Allah’s sovereignty) for people who have sense.” [Quran 2:164

If you try to count what Allah gives you, you will not be able to do it.

”If ye would count the favor of Allah ye cannot reckon it. Lo! Allah is indeed Forgiving, Merciful.” [Quran 16:18]

So, thank God, and worship Him.

Those are some characteristics of God in Islam. We hope we could understand who is the real God better.

Don’t worship the wrong Gods. Worship the real God: Allah.
