Actually Islam only make war to those who wage war to them. If not, Islam should make peace with them. Many verses of the Quran says that:
“And if they incline to peace, incline thou also to it, and the Knower.” [Quran: 8:61]
“And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is for Allah. But if they desist, then let there be no hostility except against wrongdoers. [Quran: 2:193]
“Ye will find others who desire that they should have security from you, and security from their own folk. So often as they are returned to hostility they are plunged therein. If they keep not aloof from you nor offer you peace nor hold their hands, then take them and kill them wherever ye find them. Against such We have given you clear warrant.” [4:91]
Those who hates Islam often miquote and make mistranslation of the Quran so the meaning change.
If we are fair enough we will think who make war most?
Who attack and kill millions of Muslims in Crusade War?
Who invade many countries in 1496-1940 in Asia, Africa, Australia, and America with slogan “Gold, Glory, Gospel?” Millions of people killed.
Who killed 72 millions people in World War II? It’s US, Europeans, and Japans! Christian and Shinto is the dominant religion on those countries.
Who attack Afghanistan and Iraq now? US, Europe, and Australia. Christian is the majority on those countries.
In Islam we are forbid to kill women and children during war.
Let’s see the Bible:

1 Then Samuel said to Saul, “The LORD sent me to anoint you as king over His people, over Israel; now therefore, listen to the words of the LORD. 2 “Thus says the LORD of hosts, ‘I will punish Amalek for what he did to Israel, how he set himself against him on the way while he was coming up from Egypt. 3 ‘Now go and strike Amalek and utterly destroy all that he has, and do not spare him; but put to death both man and woman, child and infant, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.’”
Exodus 32:27 “Thus sayeth the Lord God of Israel, Put every man his sword by his side, . . . and slay every man his brother, . . . companion, . . . neighbor.”
I Samuel 6:19 ” . . . and the people lamented because the Lord had smitten many of the people with a great slaughter.”
